REFERENCE TO THE FIFTIES

The architects in charge, Jordi + Partner AG, have taken the architecture of the new building from the 1950s and reinterpreted it. The interior designers from Ushi Tamborriello brought the ship theme into the interior of the hotel: with panoramic views, a wardrobe trunk in the hotel room and a spacious ship’s library in the lobby. A feeling of vastness, longing and departure pulsates through this building, which translates historical elements into contemporary architecture.

The roof terrace, the patio and the conservatory offer attractive open spaces right on the waterfront — for seminar participants and private guests alike. Most of the hotel rooms face the River Aare, which flows around the building on both sides. At the Hotel Aare, you can spend the night in the centre of the city, without the noise of cars, but with the sounds of the Mediterranean.
